Reiki - the Spiritual Medicine in Ayurveda and Qwartz Crystal Pendulum Spiritual Medicine - Modak System

Dr. Shyamkant Vinayak Modak
Reiki Grandmaster, B.Sc.Vet., Sangeet Visharad
VISHWASHAKTI REIKI KENDRA
(Universal Life Energy Force in the service of Humanity)

‘Reiki’ is a name in the Japanese language and means ‘Universal Life-energy Force’. Reiki is used to heal holistically the troubles arising in the life of an individual. Dr. Mikao Usui from Japan developed the unique healing system and in the Japanese language it is known as ‘Usui Sheiki Ryoho’ to mean Usui’s System of Natural Healing’. His hermitage is near the city of Kyoto in Japan. It is said that Dr. Usui found the basic knowledge of natural healing in the form of Sanskrit mantras from Tibetan Buddhist literature in Sanskrit. He performed rigorous penance by chanting the mantras, sitting continuously for twenty one days on the mount ‘Kuriyama’ near Kyoto. it is said, at the end of the penance, he got enlightened in to the meanings and uses of the mantras of the reiki through a flash of white light as his guide.
Reiki was introduced to India in the ninth decade of the twentieth century by a team of reiki masters coming from America. They trained number of individuals as reiki masters at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Now reiki has been known almost all over our country.
I came to know about reiki in the year 1996 when my ill health was a matter of worry to my family and well-wishers. One of them pursued me to heal my self with reiki. I learned the first degree course of reiki from my first guru Mrs. Sadhana Waikar, reiki-grandmaster. Three weeks of every day penance of one and a half hour gave me so much relief, without need of any medication that I decided to learn reiki to its highest degree and to become a grandmaster to spread the knowledge of reiki to my people. I studied the second degree from Mrs. Waikar and further the complete course from the third degree onwards from my next guru Dr. Mrs. Rekha Kale, reiki-grandmaster who gave me the title of reiki-grandmaster in the month of October, 1998. She permitted me to conduct reiki classes from June, 1996 considering my previous long standing experience in the practice in veterinary medicine and in the teaching skills I had acquired in about twenty preceding years. I have had good teaching-experience in the formal education in school-teaching as well as in non-formal education by teaching in the field of rural extension programs, especially in tribal and backward regions of Maharashtra state.
Being a student of science, from the first day of my learning reiki I started experimenting to satisfy the ‘why and how’ questions arising in my mind and perhaps, that is why I feel confident that I have got the clear concept that reiki is a scientific and spiritual essential part of the system of ‘ Ayurvedic Medicine’. In the conventional systems of medicine in-vogue we mainly use material medications whereas in reiki we use the ‘Vaishwik Pranashakti’ (meaning the Universal Life-Energy Force) itself as the medicine. This is how I am convinced of why reiki can holistically heal any disease and can give solutions to any of the difficulties confronting an individual in his life.
Reiki has a special advantage over the other paramedical healing systems like acupressure, acupuncture, etc. that with the distant-healing (also called the absent-healing) technique a reiki master can help simultaneously any number of persons needing treatment, located anywhere at the same or different places to heal themselves. The healing with reiki can be limited to any particular part/s of the body or it can heal the whole person including his body, physique, mind and spirit simultaneously. It does not need sophisticated instruments etc. because it is done by chanting suitable prayers and mantras in mind. I got experience that I being a clear and perfect reiki channel, can help any individual whom I know personally or through his identity in the form of full name, date, month and year of his birth, his normal place of living and a recent photograph if available.
I always attributed prime importance to the relief which the patient got from my work than depending on lab-reports and so I was led to develop a system of documenting the readings in words, in numbers and in numeric proportions. This work helped me to satisfy my quest to be able to judge and monitor over a period, the progress or otherwise of the healing process going on within the patient. The greatest advantage of this technique is that the healer can work on the patient at his convenience, comfortably from his home at any hour of day or night, while the patient may, at that time be any where doing any thing because unlike in case of receiving distant reiki he/she is not to do any thing to receive healing this way. He can, at his convenience consult the healer through telephone for guidance in the matters related to his feeling progress in the healing process. The only expenditure to be borne by the patient is of communication and the fees payable to the healer.

I invoke the medical world to take cognizance of the efforts I put in for developing this system and consider that with judicious use of this system reiki can be used to complement the best medical treatments being done by experts of any of the prevailing systems of medicine so that the patient recovers faster, almost without any complications and with lesser troubles and expenses. I found that reiki can heal death to make it peaceful and painless though it cannot avoid natural death. I would like to welcome queries and suggestions. I shall try sincerely to satisfy them to my best ability or learn gratefully from them for better performance in the field of ' reiki for humanity'.
